The symbol page and the quick look
Every ticker opens a quick look (price with an honest feed label, one line of the desk's read, three actions) and has its own page with the charts, every algorithm's reading, why it moved, your history with it and its peers.

Any ticker in the console is a chip. Click it and pick Open detail for the quick look, or Open full page for the symbol page. Position rows, Markets rows and the command palette (type a ticker) open the quick look too; the page has its own address, /symbol/NVDA, so you can bookmark it or send it, and the rail keeps Markets lit while you are on it.
The quick look
A narrow panel for a fast decision, nothing more:
- The ticker, its name, and badges that matter (held, , tradable, screened out, , on hold, whole shares only).
- The price with a feed label in plain words. "Live" or "12 s ago" while a live feed prices the name during market hours; "Closed · last close Sep 9" after the bell; "Showing the Sep 9 close · live price not on hand" when the market is open but nothing live has reached the console for that name yet. The label is never a guess: it is where the number came from and how old it is.
- A compact chart: today's line when the market is open and a live series exists, three months of daily closes otherwise.
- The desk's read in one line: the lean (leans long, no edge, leans short), the single biggest reason (which weighted drives it), and whether the name passes the desk's . A penny stock up 90% in a day reads honestly: whatever momentum says, the line ends "it fails the desk's tradability screen (price at least $3.00, last close $2.66), so the desk would not trade it."
- Your position (quantity, cost, unrealised, weight, stop) or, if you do not hold it, the last on it.
- Three actions: Add to watchlist, Ask the PM, Open full page.
Everything else moved to the page.
The page, section by section
The tabs under the header jump to each section and stay pinned while you scroll; the actions ride in the same bar.
Price
The price block again, larger, then the chart with 1D (today, while a live series exists), 1M, 3M, 1Y and 5Y. Only the ranges the history covers are offered, so a young listing shows fewer pills rather than an empty chart. Volume runs underneath. Small diamonds on the rail mark earnings dates and, for names you hold, splits and dividends the applied to your lot; rings mark your own entries, and a dashed line your average cost. Under the chart: the session's range, volume against its 20-day habit ("1.6x usual"), the gap at the open, the 52-week range with where the price sits in it, and dollars traded per day. Until today's range arrives with the live scan these are the last completed session's, and the strip says so.
The desk's read
The one line from the quick look, then the working behind it:
- The lists the weighted algorithms that make the score, each with its vote in words ("reads long, strongly (+0.83)"), its share of the blend, and its rank in the universe where one exists. Algorithms with no weight yet sit on the behind one click.
- Rule machines ( today) sit beside the blend, never inside it: a fired setup is its own entry condition and its score never moves the number; it never blocks a trade. This is the change that stopped one ordinal reading from halving every continuous member's pull.
- Tradability is the Executor's own screen under this book's thresholds on Risk › Tradable universe, check by check with a tick, a cross or a question mark: listed and tradable, not halted, not a leveraged product, price floor, enough history, enough dollar volume, not on the do-not-trade list.
- Context the desk weighs, computed by code and never a veto: a very large one-day move, a volume surge, earnings inside three sessions, sitting far below the 52-week high, a caution or risk-off regime.
- If the desk traded it: when the name passes the screens and something reads long, the entry, and exit its algorithm publishes with the (Jim's trigger, stop and predicted high today). Expected-return bands per score are shown when they are published for the blend; until then the page says they are not.
- The market regime in words, the nightly screen row, and one adherence line comparing the PM's last call on the name with the blend.
Why it moved
What the has on record: dated headlines and filings for the name (near-duplicates folded), the briefs that mention it and the checkable calls they made, and the next earnings date. When there is nothing, the section says "Nothing on record" rather than filling space. Headlines are third-party text and labelled untrusted.
Your book
Your position with its and armed exits; open orders and resting stops; every proposal on the name with its outcome, newest first ("3 on record"); the rules, price levels and if-then watches that touch it (each a chip that opens its home); the 's findings on the name; splits and dividends applied to your lot; how it fits (its weight, the book's weight in its sector, how invested the book is overall, and its 60-day correlation to the rest of the book when there is enough shared history); and the requests you have made about it with their outcomes.
Similar names
Peers in its sector and the sector fund, each a chip with its last close and change, held names marked. Correlation to your book appears once the book holds names with enough shared history.
States the page is honest about
| State | What you see |
|---|---|
| Market closed | "Closed · last close Sep 9"; no 1D pill; the market pill says when it opens |
| Open, nothing live yet | "Showing the Sep 9 close · live price not on hand"; the chart says today's line arrives with the live scan |
| Screened out | a banner and a badge; the headline ends "so the desk would not trade it"; Trade… is disabled with the reason |
| Halted | a crimson banner; the halt check fails; Trade… disabled |
| On hold in your book | an amber banner: the Executor is holding the name back after a suspicious price move; clear it on Risk |
| Delisted or renamed | a banner; history stays for reference; Trade… disabled |
| No prices stored yet | the price slot says "no price yet"; the chart, day strip and readings explain what fills them in |
| A ticker nothing knows | "Nothing on hand for ZZZZ": it may be delisted, misspelled or not a US listing; Mark for research stays available |
| Not a ticker | "That isn't a ticker", with the way back to Markets |
The actions
The bar carries Add to watchlist, Mark for research, Ask the PM now, Steer… (Guidance prefilled) and Trade…. They are the same typed intents described in Markets and the symbol sheet: each records an ask with you as the author, and the owning role answers it in the Inbox. Trade… goes through the normal proposal path and every Executor check (place a trade yourself); it is never a direct order, and it is disabled with the reason whenever the name is screened out, halted, delisted, unknown, or the deployment has manual orders off.
NotePrices on the quick look and the page come from the platform's own feed for every book (one consolidated feed for decisions, a labelled display feed for screens). Your broker keys are never used to fetch prices, and nobody's data plan changes what the desk decides.
