When you override the desk

Approving an order the checks held, loosening a limit, raising the posture or selling early gets a second opinion argued from your own written policy. Nothing waits unless you switch a cooling-off on for that kind of action, and a sale never waits.

Decided, being built. This page describes behaviour the operator has decided on and that is being built now; the console may not show it yet, or may still show the older screens it replaces. Sentences that are already true say so.

When it appears
You approve a held order, move to a riskier , loosen a limit, or sell before the holding period you chose
What it says
One sentence, "you wrote X; this does Y", the policy line it quotes, a few facts, a question, a smaller alternative
What it does
Nothing by itself: confirmation and your code work as before; a cooling-off timer only if you switched one on
Who writes it
Code, instantly, from your Posture, and ; the can sharpen it when switched on for your book

This is decided and the review itself is in this build; the dialog that shows it beside the confirmation step is not yet. Until it ships, overrides work exactly as they do today.

Your policy, in your words

Posture, Autonomy and Guidance together are the policy you signed: how invested the book should be, how long positions get, how much one idea may lose, which orders wait for you, and every rule and preference you typed on Strategy › Guidance. The review reads that statement line by line and nothing else. It does not have a market view and it does not predict prices. When what you are about to do contradicts a line, it quotes the line: "you wrote that positions get one to four weeks unless the stop or the breaks; this closes AMD on day four with the stop untouched."

The four moments

  • Approving a held order on the Inbox: the reason the check gave, what the Critic flagged before the trade, and whether the size alone already asked for you.
  • Raising the posture on Strategy › Posture: how many rungs, how soon after the last change, and how far the book is from its high. Moving down never draws an objection.
  • Loosening a limit on Risk › Limits: by how much, whether it leaves the value your posture would hold, and whether that fired in the last few days.
  • Selling early: days held against your holding period, where the stop you agreed sits, and whether the sale would also be a wash sale.

When the action fits the policy the review says so plainly and there is no timer. Tightening never waits.

The cooling-off is yours to switch on

By default nothing waits: you see the objection and the confirmation is live. If you want a pause on the moves that raise risk, you switch it on per kind of override: two minutes before approving a held buy, five before loosening a limit, ten before raising the posture, doubled when the facts make it worse (a two-rung jump inside a , loosening the halt that just fired). Switching a pause on is one click; switching it off again asks for your , because it removes a restraint you chose. Selling never waits, whatever you configure: a sale takes risk off, so an early sale gets the objection's words and a live button. The timer is a code rule, never something the model decides, and it is a pause, not a lock: what you decided is recorded next to the objection so the pattern is visible later.

NoteThe review never places, changes or cancels an order and never touches a setting. The 's checks are the same whatever it says.
