What happens when I create a book

A new book is onboarded the moment it exists, at any time of day. Research runs first, the PM writes the book's first plan within minutes of setup, the core goes on the same session when the market is open, and the mind card tells you where that stands.

A book can be created at any moment: mid-morning on a trading day, after the close, on a Sunday. Whatever the clock says, the desk starts working on it right away instead of waiting for the next morning's session. This page is the sequence, minute by minute, and what you see while it happens.

The sequence

  1. You create the book. The 's first brief for it is queued at once: the market regime, the handful of liquid names and sectors worth this book's attention today, the scheduled risks of the next few sessions, and two or three . A brief needs no broker, so it runs while you connect one.
  2. You connect a broker and finish the last step of Connect (, , and whether trading starts now). That step queues the PM's first plan for the book. The plan waits for the brief, at most eight minutes, and starts the moment the brief is done; typically it is written ten to fifteen minutes after you created the book.
  3. The first plan. The PM reads the brief, the book's posture and limits, and the ranked Candidates table, and writes four things: what the core will hold (the code builds the posture's index sleeve in that same session, each order inside your per-order cap), the first candidates it opened or is waiting on and why, the levels it armed on the next three to five names so a later check or a price event acts the moment one prints, and the plan in plain words for your Overview.
  4. What it acts on depends on the clock and on you. Market open and Full autonomy: the core's orders and any starter the mandate allows go to the Executor, which runs every risk check before anything reaches the broker. Semi-automatic or Manual: the same orders wait for you in the Inbox. Trading paused: the plan is written and its orders are recorded as blocked, so you can read exactly what the desk would do before you start it. After the close, at a weekend, or in the last minutes before the close: the plan is staged and its orders are parked for the next session's opening window, priced for the open.
  5. Then the ordinary rhythm takes over: the day's remaining checks, the end-of-day pass at 14:48 CT that tops the core up for the next morning, the journal after the close.

NoteA ranked candidate is an input, not an instruction. Outside the posture's own large-gap rule the PM still needs a name's trigger to print before it opens it, so a first plan that arms levels and opens only the core is a correct plan, not an idle one.

What you see while it happens

The mind card on the Overview carries one line until the plan exists: Setting up your desk: research first, then the plan; plan ready ~11:31 CT (the time is the desk's own estimate), with a Plan ~HH:MM CT pill beside the PM's mark. Before a broker is connected it says the plan follows as soon as you finish connecting. When the plan is written the line is replaced by the PM's own note, the levels it is watching appear underneath, and you get a First plan ready notification (email, and push if you turned it on) that links to Strategy › Profile, the one place to change the posture or the goal before the next session acts further. The last card of Connect says the same thing in one sentence and shows the two limits your posture gives at this account size: the largest single order and the loss that halts trading for the day. Both scale with the account the moment the reads its equity, so a $100,000 book is never held to a $1,000 order.

If something does not happen

  • No plan after twenty minutes. Open Agent: the brief and the plan are sessions like any other, with their status and, if one failed, the reason. A failed first plan is retried once; after that the next scheduled session plans instead, and you can ask the desk for a plan from Consult at any time.
  • You closed the tab after the keys verified. A starts trading when its account verifies, so the desk queues the first plan itself a few minutes later, on the posture the book had at that moment (Moderate and Manual unless you chose otherwise). Finish the last step of Connect whenever you like; nothing is queued twice.
  • The plan opened nothing but the core. Read the note: it names the levels it is waiting on. Under an acting posture a book far under its exposure band may also get starter positions from rank when the posture's large-gap rule allows it; the note says whether it did.
  • Created on a Friday evening. The brief and the plan run that evening; the orders wait for Monday's opening window. The mind card says so.

Asking for a plan again is always possible and never doubles one that is already queued or running: the request is recorded once per book, and once per day after that.
