Halt banner, Algorithms tabs, alert wording and young-book charts

The console frame, the Algorithms page, the Overview alerts and the Performance chart were each reread beside the numbers next to them and rewritten where they disagreed, repeated themselves or did not fit the screen.

What changed for people using Bellwether

  • Halt banner in one vocabulary. The banner leads with what happened, "Trading paused." or "Trading halted by a risk rule.", then one sentence that is true of a halt (new buys are blocked, exits still go out) and the facts under Reason, Set by and Since. The top bar, the mind card and the search dialog use the same word.
  • Navigation fits a laptop screen. At 1280 by 800 the side rail ends on a whole row and an opaque band says "6 more" where screens are hidden; the Inbox count stays on screen even when its row has scrolled away. The Consult page is exactly one screen tall, with no second scrollbar.
  • Algorithms in three tabs. Your blend, Setups & levels and Quant suggestions each have a tab. The blend sentence counts every algorithm once, "3 algorithms make the score, 1 more sits on the bench, 1 screen can block a name, 3 are off", and the Quant's suggested weights are compared with that same current blend.
  • Alerts say what happened. Two partial fills of one broker stop are one row, "It sold 2.8649 shares of XOM at $161.52 to $161.67; the position is closed", with each fill behind Details. A refused stop move names the broker's reason, and a position mismatch clears itself with "Reconciled 12:04" once the books agree again.
  • A young book's chart says so. With fewer than ten closes every close is a marked point and the panel says "4 trading days since the Aug 31 start". Beta, correlation and the ratios appear after 20 trading days, the win rate after 5 closed trades, and SPY and 60/40 are compared through the same day as the book.

What you may notice

  • In a week where a stock's setup points down, Setups & levels shows its trigger as a sell-below level with a note that this desk does not trade it; it is never listed as a buy trigger or counted among the armed setups.
  • Each count in the blend sentence is a button that filters the list under it, with "Showing 1 of 4" and "Show all". An algorithm's page opens in plain English, with the specification behind "Technical details".
  • The search dialog says "Open the Inbox" and "Halt trading · stop new buys now". Links to another screen end in a chevron; the arrow that points up and right is kept for links that leave the app.
  • On a phone the More sheet says "14 waiting for you", or "Nothing waiting", and opens the Inbox. Avatar initials are letters only: "Chase (reviewer)" shows "C".
  • An alert about the desk's mandate no longer prints a word such as ORDER inside a ticker chip, and no alert opens with a ticker and a colon.
  • When the benchmark's close for the book's last day is not published yet, the legend says "compared through Sep 3" and the book's last segment is dotted; after the close it can use that session's last prices and says so.
  • The Performance legend is a set of label and value rows, the coverage sentence is said once above them, and "vs SPY" and "Excess" are the same figure over the same days.

Known gaps and what’s next

  • A reconciled position mismatch is remembered in memory: if the trading service restarts between the alert and the next check, no "Reconciled" row is written.
  • The Algorithms page is renamed Signals in a following release; the tabs and counts stay as they are.
  • Overview and Inbox wording from the same audit, and the Holdings and Portfolio pair, arrive in the next console release.
  • The monthly statement, the books comparison and the track record still compare against published benchmark closes only; the same-day extension applies to the Performance page first.
