Release 39
Holdings you can sort and open, a truthful Consult model menu, research cards that open, and "Now" means now
The Portfolio, Consult, Research and symbol pages were reread as a first-time user would read them, in and out of market hours, and each now says one true thing per fact and lets you act on it.
What changed for people using Bellwether
- Holdings you can scan, sort and open. Portfolio › Holdings is one line per name, with columns for value, share of the book, last price, unrealized and today. Click a header to sort, narrow with the chips or Find, and open a row for its thesis, signals, exit and orders.
- A holding row tells the truth about its price. In session the price is the live one, marked "as of 10:57 CT"; out of session it is the named close and the row says why it has no today. A row shows one stop and names the broker backstop once.
- Consult's model menu is true to the price table. Sonnet, then Opus, then Fable, least capable and cheapest first, each with a typical cost per answer; picking Opus now runs Opus. Every message shows its time, "3:15 PM CT", without hovering, and a figure such as 99.9% never breaks inside an answer.
- Research cards open. The whole card opens a detail sheet you can link to, with the source's own words, when the event is rather than when it was fetched, how much it matters in words, and what you hold in the names it mentions. A wire item reads as the wire wrote it.
- "Ask the desk · Now" means now. After the close the desk answers within minutes as a read: it says what it would do at the open, hands that plan to the pre-market session, and cannot propose or place an order while the market is closed. The button is never retitled "At the next open".
What you may notice
- The trade sheet after hours opens with "The market is closed until tomorrow 08:30 CT", prices itself as "Last trade 14:59 CT" or the named close rather than "Live", switches Buy off with the reason beside it, and never warns about the per-order cap on a sale.
- Portfolio's filters, sort and opened rows are kept in the page address, so a refresh or a shared link shows the same view; "Expand all" opens every row and reads "Collapse all".
- Under the Portfolio totals one quiet line gives the split, "Satellite 48.1%, Core 9.1%, Cash 42.8%", then "4 orders open below" and "6 stops armed", each a link to its list.
- A thesis line the desk has not armed as a stop reads "not armed" in the quiet tone and never counts the name as near its stop.
- The Desk › Consult › Configure card describes the same three models the composer offers, in the same order, from the same list.
- The Research calendar names a release in full, "Consumer Price Index 07:30 CT", and an earnings row sits on the day the Portfolio row and Markets give for the same print.
- The go-live readiness list words its guidance gate as "Guidance notes the desk answered", with the share of recent sessions that did.
Known gaps and what’s next
- Overview, Inbox and Advisor wording from the same audit, with the chart's grouped event popover, moves to the next console release; it has to be rebuilt on top of this one first.
- Sharper role icons and the Agent screen's craft pass, and the second phase of the landing page's particle field, are in review.
- The Algorithms page is renamed Signals in a following release.
- The first three after-hours asks on the live desk are read by hand to confirm the answer opens with what was and was not done.
