What changed for people using Bellwether

• Broker keys checked as you paste. A key with a stray or look-alike character is refused under the box before anything reaches your broker. Failed connection tests say what went wrong and what to do.
• Live-prices faults are dated. On Overview, a standing quote-stream fault shows in amber with when it began; a healed drop shows as history with how fast it recovered, and clears after 10 minutes.
• Evidence page. From Performance, "Evidence: proven vs pending" opens three parts: what is proven today, what only time proves, what this does not prove. Every figure carries its sample size and date.
• Archived books rest. An archived book gets no desk sessions, chat turns, reports or reminders until restored. The rules-only comparison book now runs separately and takes no session slot or budget from your desk.

What you may notice

• The quote stream dropped 14 times in 40 minutes at the September 14 open and fell 19 seconds behind. Rebuilt, it stays within 2 ms of the feed at 5,000 messages a second in tests and runs on its own CPU allowance, apart from the services that trade.
• Index and watch-list symbols you do not hold show a live last price without a bid and ask line; held and proposed names keep both.
• Accounts and the Overview alert explain a broken connection in a sentence ("one of the keys picked up a stray character") instead of an error dump.
• Signing in from a public help or What's new page returns you to that page straight away; feed readers keep same-day releases in order.

Known gaps / coming next

• Built and switched off: your own model key per book, the risk reviewer challenging the portfolio manager mid-session, and the manager's research tools.
• The rules-only comparison books are created after this release; until then the weekly desk-versus-rules comparison is withheld.
• Connecting a broker through to the first session gets a full pass on the live site after this release; fixes follow.
