Clear errors everywhere, and Consult never loses a message
Errors say what happened and what to do.
What changed for people using Bellwether
- Errors say what happened and what to do. Every screen that fails to load now shows the same calm panel: a plain sentence, whether trying again is likely to help, and a short reference you can quote to us. No more bare "The API did not answer" or blank areas.
- A new version no longer breaks an open tab. If Bellwether was updated while you had it open, the page notices, tells you a newer version is available and reloads once, instead of failing on a missing file. Pages you already had open keep working in the meantime.
- Consult keeps your question. If you send a message while Consult is still answering, it is held visibly under the conversation (you can cancel it), survives a reload, and is sent as soon as the answer lands. A conversation that ended in an error no longer swallows the next question: asking from Help or switching model starts a fresh conversation. Answer timing is now measured so slow turns can be found and fixed.
- Limits you have already used up today (for example the daily override allowance) now say so plainly instead of suggesting you retry.
